Global and Local : Grade 2 Exploring the world

Using the map of the world we arranged the groups accordingly. Hopefully they never forget the names and location of these! Each group was given their piece of the world map. First they painted the sea.

  

Next they filled in the continents by rolling up crepe paper into balls which they stuck down

Lastly we assembled the map and each child helped decorate the border.

Global and Local Issues : Beach Clean Up

We were very proud of our Edenites who supported Mrs Mazzoni during the holidays(Sept) to clean up our beaches. These children braved the rain and miserable conditions to make a difference to our environment. Well done!

It's the start of a new ECO Blog EDEN!

Today sees the start of something new and exciting.... a new Eden Eco blog. The idea is to share what we are doing at our school with a wider circle of people and friends so that we can all learn from one another. 

For the Eden staff it can link us altogether and we can see what is happening on the Eco front from Gr 000 to Matric!

The grade 2's gardening after school today. I taught them about compost making!

They weeded so well! After all the rain we even spotted some chillies and beans growing beautifully
