College Eco Club

The College Eco Club met and discussed the way forward for the many eco projects on the go this term including the Acting for Rhinos projects, Clean ups, Collections of used materials, Fitness events, and activities for the Green Fest.Well done ladies.

Beach Clean up this Sat 22 Apri

Meet Miss Bailey and High School Eco Club at Bike and Bean on Beach promenade tomorrow with gloves and bags at 9.20 for a 9.30 beach clean up.This will be finished by 10.30.All welcome but prep students should have an adult with them.Give your names to Miss Bailey to earn your esp points. What a wonderful way to contribute to Earth Day.

Grade 9 Arts and Culture

Grade 9 are busy planning their Eco Kamishibhai project that they will perform to younger students this term. They are dealing with issues like water saving, healthy eating and deforestation.

Eco Awards

Congratulations to the eco awards recipients.Pupils were given commendation certificates or Eco 1 Badges. Vongai Mubaiwa and Nikita Surjoo also achieved Eco 2 badges.Outstanding work. These photos only show some of the awardees.

We are collecting old stationery for underprivileged schools around game reserves in KZN.This will be to assist the educational drive by Grant Fowlds of Project Rhino KZN to educate people on the importance of preserving our Rhino population in Kzn.Please bring your collection to Mrs van Elden. ESP points between 5 and 15 .

Eden Acknowledged at Bot Doc Talk

Last night there was a talk on Rhinos and Pangolins by Grant Fowlds and Louise Fletcher at Durban Botanic Gardens.Grant Fowlds acknowledged Eden for the work they do for Project Rhino KZN. Eden has been invited to be involved in the Pangolin art project.This will be on display at the Green Fest.

Grad 7 Tour Roselands

The Grade 7 classes had a wonderful tour.They learned about Alien plants, had plenty of exercise and had many outdoor challenges.

Grade R Eco Activities. ..End of Term

The children made sensory boxes for show and tell.They are also going for a sensory walk.They will walk through the Eden Forest and on their return they will be examining and discussing plant material they find on their socks.

Recycled Bird Masks

Grade 2 W and 2C made bird masks out of cardboard off cuts in Drama
