Eden students thrive in International School Essay competition!
Eden College students entered the Trust for Sustainable Living's international school essay competition on the topic: The Youth are Key to Achieving SDG #15: Life on Land.
Ravindra Singh, Samir Seedat, Simran Singh, Santhani Rungan and Leo Maseko have been awarded Honourable Mentions (their essays were placed in the top 10% - 33%).
Sapna Pramjee and Rhea Bhoola are finalists - which means their essays were placed in the top 10%. They are both in the running for the Grand Prize award, which awards the winner a free trip to Vancouver, Canada to attend a Schools Debate on sustainable living, in July 2019. The winner will be announced by the end of February.
Grade R Healthy Eating and Exercise

Grade 8 Eco puppet shows
The Grade 8J class presented their Eco puppet shows to Grade 1 and R today. The had messages of protecting endangered species, preventing litter and marine life.

The Recycled Kindness Tree
Mrs Peens has challenged the pupils to write messages of kindness and gang them on the Kindness tree in keeping with our tree theme and Valentines Day.

Rally for Rhinos
St Benedicts is hosting a Rhino Rally for Acting for Rhinos on 13 Feb for College students. Some Eden students will be attending. It is lovely to see the support for AFR growing.
Ecobricks
Well done to all who have been bringing Eco bricks. We are going to be doing all sorts of exciting things with them. Please make sure you stuff them so full that they can't be squashed at all.

We are all motivated to have a healthy lifestyle in the Prep whilst getting sponsors for February. We are delighted that so many college students and parents have joined us. Let's get healthy in Feb and raise loads of money for Rhinos.
