Nature and biodiversity: Gardening with Grade 6

On Friday the 27th of February, the Grade 6's had a chance to work in the garden, doing their part to make Eden College just a little bit brighter and even learning a little something along the way.

They started by collecting the dead pods in the flower beds and they learned that even though the pods were dead, the seeds inside were very much alive. They decided to take those seeds and scatter them around the school and at home. They then got their hands dirty by spreading mulch and fertilizer around the flower beds.

All in all, they felt like they had really accomplished something meaningful and many of them have said that they were eager to see if the seeds that they took home would grow.
