5 day Fitness Challenge: Day One!

This week, our prep school is kicking off something exciting, energising, and just a little bit challenging, our 5 Day Fitness Challenge!

As part of our focus on healthy living and caring for ourselves as well as our planet, we’re encouraging all pupils to get moving with a 10-minute fitness challenge each day for the next five days. Just ten minutes might not sound like much, but small actions, just like small eco-friendly habits, can make a big difference over time.

Each day will bring a new activity designed to get hearts pumping and smiles growing. From star jumps and skipping to balance challenges and mini circuits, the goal isn’t to be the fastest or the strongest, it’s to take part, try your best, and have fun.

Why are we doing this?

Being active is not only great for our bodies, but it also helps our minds. Exercise can improve focus in lessons, boost mood, increase energy levels, and build resilience. Just like looking after the environment, looking after ourselves is an important part of building a healthy future.

We’re taking these challenges outdoors. Fresh air, green spaces, and movement are a powerful combination, and a wonderful reminder of why protecting our environment matters.

Well done to everyone who joined in for Day 1!

Recycling Stations continued

The learners have been busy creating their recycling stations. Here are 3 more created by Aarav, Navya, and Komal in Grade 7. Well done to them! There are 5 days left to complete this challenge and we are looking forward to seeing everyone's at-home recycling stations.

The start of the recycling stations

The students have been hard at work on their at-home recycling challenge, showing real dedication to helping the environment beyond the classroom. From sorting recyclables to finding creative ways to reduce waste, their efforts have been inspiring to see. The challenge to create their recycling stations will continue until the end of February, and they will use their stations throughout the year, so keep up the great work and let’s see how much of a positive impact we can make together! We look forward to seeing all the completed recycling stations!

Gabriella and Swara in Grade 7 have already completed their recycling stations.

World Wetland's Day

To celebrate World Wetlands Day, all learners were encouraged to wear a blue accessory as a symbol of water and wetlands. During the day, students learned about the importance of wetlands and the vital role they play in supporting wildlife, protecting water quality, and maintaining healthy ecosystems. It was a meaningful way to raise awareness and inspire learners to help preserve these valuable natural environments.

Healthy Eating Week

From 26 January to 30 January, our students took part in a fun and inspiring Healthy Eating Challenge. Throughout the week, children were encouraged to pack healthy, well-balanced lunches, including fruit, vegetables, and water each day. It was wonderful to see the effort and enthusiasm from everyone as students made positive choices and learned more about the importance of healthy eating habits.
