Planting week Challenge: 19 - 25 April
Our first eco challenge of term 2 is here and it’s time to get into the garden. We’re starting on land by planting spekboom, herbs, seedlings, or indigenous plants. You can earn points by planting spekboom or growing herbs or seedlings (indigenous).
So grab your pots, find some soil, and start planting. Every leaf, every stem, and every small effort helps.

Diving Deep: Our Ocean Conservation Journey
This year, our prep school is setting sail on an exciting adventure that takes us beneath the waves and into the heart of one of the most important ecosystems on Earth: the ocean.
Our 2026 eco theme is the Ocean, and together, we’ll be exploring how we can protect and care for our blue planet.
To make this journey even more exciting, each class will become a submarine crew, diving deeper into the ocean as they complete eco-friendly challenges throughout the year. These challenges might include:
- Reducing plastic use
- Participating in clean-up efforts
- Saving water and energy
- Learning and sharing facts about marine life
Every positive action earns your class points, helping your submarine descend further into the ocean depths.
Our progress will be tracked on a special Ocean Depth Board, displayed for everyone to see. The more points your class earns, the deeper your submarine dives—from the sunlit surface waters all the way down to the mysterious deep sea!
Will your class reach the twilight zone? Or even the midnight zone? There’s only one way to find out…
Oceans cover more than 70% of our planet and play a huge role in keeping Earth healthy. They provide oxygen, regulate the climate, and are home to incredible biodiversity. Unfortunately, they are under threat from pollution, overfishing, and climate change.
Every challenge completed is a step toward a healthier ocean and a deeper dive for your class submarine!
