Introduction: Discuss what a natural
resource is – not man-made, come from the
The importance of water as a
natural resource – what we need it for;
Why are these resources becoming
scarce – people having unlimited wants and wasting;
Body: Come up
with ideas as a group as to ways in which we can preserve our precious water. Take responsibility – make sure
taps are turned off when not using water
Shower , rather than bath
Fix
leaking taps and hosepipes
Install rainwater tanks to catch rainwater off
our roofs
Report broken mains
pipes to the local municipality, for speedy repairs
Take care of water sources and
make sure they do not become polluted and dangerous to the health of all
living creatures
Create awareness
Conclusion: Take action
Task: Make a poster in a group of 3 or 4 to create
awareness and give people ideas on how to save water.
