Healthy eating - Grade two's plant veggies.

Inspired by the story of Jack and the Beanstalk and their theme - "Growth" and the schools drive for "Healthy Eating" the grade 2 children planted a selection of vegetable seedlings. They look forward to watching them grow, and of course eating some delicious home grown food in a few weeks time. They had lots of fun planting..for some it was the first time!

Global and Local Issues -Love Your Earth Valentine Celebration

On Tuesday, Eden organised a wonderful Love Your Earth Celebration for the prep school. There were a number of different activities.

The children watched a performance of ,  Eeney Miney Grow...A delightful environmental mime performance by a deaf performer, Sibo. The production company made a generous donation to the Acting for Rhinos campaign.

Everyone came dressed in Earth colours.
At the same time there was a most informative talk for parents by Marilina Lewis on healthy eating and how it affects your life and environment. The grade 6 and 7 pupils joined their parents and were most inspired.

The rest of the children went back to class and did an activity with their parents once the talk was over.

The grade O's read the Lorax and made truffling trees.

The grade ones decorated recycled containers and planted an indoor garden.

The grade two made flowers to use later as part of their "Jack and the Beanstalk" stories.

The grade threes made healthy eating posters to display around the school.

The grade four and five children had a quiz on Our Earth and the human Body in the lecture theatre.

Overall it was a most successful day. Thanks to all of those involved.

Healthy Eating - Grade Threes

We are having a big drive at Eden this year to encourage Healthy Eating.Mrs Regaud let the Grade Three children use their IT skills to show what they had in their lunch boxes.

She has displayed them on the notice board for all to see. So many people have admired them..so well done Grade Threes and Mrs Regaud.

We are glad to see they had lovely healthy lunches!
